Praise and Prayer (9.6.11)

Praise Reports

From Joseph and Jean Collins (Portugal):

Eastview Pentecostal Church Ladies prayer warriors sent us prayer cloths to help us here. As you know, we are all carrying our prayer cloths with us—the men in their wallets and the women in their clothes or purses.

1.  Antonio is Portuguese, and he and his wife Patrocina are not baptized, nor do they have the Holy Ghost, but he has been scheduled for gall bladder surgery for a few months.  (It is socialized medicine, and they do not get in a hurry here.) We gave him a prayer cloth which he put in his wallet, and we also prayed for him a couple of time. (He is 67 years old, and the gall bladder has give him a lot of problems.)  Well, they finally scheduled his appointment, and they made some new tests and said there is nothing wrong and he does not need the surgery anymore.  The prayer cloths and your prayers are working and Jesus is answering.

2.  Sister Vaneisa has had a serious problem with ovarian cysts and could not conceive. She said, "No more doctors. I am giving this over to Jesus.” She found out that she is pregnant.

3.  Sister Margarida was crossing a big boulevard in the crosswalk .  A car was coming very, very fast and did not see her. When she realized the car was going to hit her, she screamed "JESUS."  She was frozen and could not move.  When the car stopped,  her hands were on the hood and the bumper was touching her skirt (THANK God for Skirts) and did not touch her legs. She was not injured or does not have any bruises.  She knew the Lord saved her alive.  (All the other people on the sidewalk screamed with fear when they saw the incident.) God is so GOOD.  The angels  are working overtime. She said that the car was coming too fast to stop in time, that only God could have stopped that car.

From Gary Landaw (Trinidad-Tobago/Spanish Caribbean):

After many days of debate, the Trinidad Parliment has decided to change the curfew . Now, we will be able to have the crusade .  Thanks for all the prayers.  Now, let's pray the people will get back out and go to event September 23-24.

From Phillip Rhoads (Suriname):

There was a good move of the Holy Ghost at the Suriname youth camp.  Thanks for praying.

From Barbara Abernathy (FMD):

On a praise note, I definitely received a touch in my shoulder during School of Missions, and even my physical therapist has witnessed the difference! My husband is doing much better also, and the surgery site is healing very quickly.   Thank you for all your prayers; the Lord has shown His power and given us the chance to be a witness.

Prayer Requests

From Sharon Abernathy (Zambia): Please pray for my mother.

Over the weekend, I received word that my mother has been hospitalized.  After running tests, it appears to be her heart and looks as though she is going to need open heart surgery.  I've been told it will be this week, but they aren't sure of the day yet.

From Joseph and Jean Collins (Portugal): Please pray for a young lady named Nilza.

Thank you all for praying for us here.  We have folks that need the Holy Ghost.  One young lady by the name of Nilza  needs the ladies' special prayer for her.

From Barbara Abernathy (FMD): Please pray for my sister-in-law Denise Crabtree and my great niece Ella Crabtree.

Please remember my sister-in-law, Denise Crabtree.  Some months ago she fell and broke her foot very badly.  She was bed ridden for six weeks, followed by six more weeks in a cast.  At her follow-up appointment today, the doctor was not pleased with the progress and is now discussing doing surgery to insert a screw.

Also my two-year old great niece, Ella Crabtree, is still undergoing major testing for her digestive problems, including an EKG and CAT scan.  This is very traumatic for her and emotional for her parents.
