Spain Update (Zenobia Family)

We traveled over 2,700 kilometers (1,700 miles) during a two-week trip to Andalucía (the southern most province of Spain). We are thankful for God’s protection while we celebrated Christmas in Sevilla, Spain as a family, and New Years in Malaga, Spain with new friends.

  • Three people were filled with the Holy Ghost, two were baptized and others were healed in the three services and Bible study we ministered in. God is so good!
  • We visited two different churches and a mission work. We also met the people from a second mission work in Spain, near Gibraltar.
  • We visited 10 different cities/towns in the provinces of Sevilla and Malaga, taking in both the natural and architectural beauty of this vast region.

Using the AVE high-speed train from Barcelona, it takes about six hours to reach Sevilla. It is said, Sevilla tiene un color especial (“Sevilla has a color all its own”). We spent nearly three days to celebrate Christmas as a family. It is a uniquely beautiful and colorful city.

The Saturday after Christmas, we drove by way of the city Ronda, to the coastal city of Malaga, the Province of Malaga’s namesake. Stretching nearly 100 miles, the coastline of this province is known as La Costa del Sol (the Sun Coast). Pastor and Sister Hector Merizalde currently have four church plants along this coast (in the cities of Malaga, Marbella, Casabermeja, and Linea de la Concepcion, see below)! They are great laborers for the harvest and precious saints of God.

That Sunday Kristen (and Xander) had the opportunity to minister in Malaga, while Sam (and Benaiah) ministered in Marbella. There were great moves of God in each of these services. We believe that God was preparing the hearts of the people for what was to follow in the coming days.

During the week, Pastor Hector and Sam gave a Bible study on the plan of salvation to a lady who recently started attending the Malaga Church.

Her opened her heart to God’s word and was filled with the Holy Ghost! She was baptized moments later in the precious name of Jesus! On our final Sunday in Andalucía, we ministered in Malaga and the people’s faith was high! Two were filled with the Holy Ghost, one was baptized, and others received healing. To God be all the glory!

When we were not in church, we made the most of our time. We took the scenic route through the mountains from Sevilla to Ronda to Malaga. Ronda is famous for the Puente Nuevo bridge, which has a cameo in the 2017 animated film Ferdinand, about a Spanish bull.

We all visited cities towns and villages along the coast. To the east of Malaga was Nerja. You can see cliffs falling into the greenish blue Mediterranean for miles—it is breathtaking.

About 40 miles to the southwest of Malaga lies Marbella with its pristine beaches, and impressive vistas, on a clear day you can see the Rock of Gibraltar and the African coast of Morocco.

All-in-all we visited 10 different cities on our trip, making good use of the unlimited mileage on our rental car!

As parents, we were happy to see that Benaiah and Xander enjoyed the trip as much as we did. We had so much fun, but the highlight reel would have to include the horse and carriage ride throughout Sevilla, riding on the high-speed train (or as Xander calls it, bullet train), and one of the best Christmases ever (thanks to the generosity of our extended family and friends).

The boys also became fast friends with Pastor Merizalde’s son, Danny. We are thankful to God for all of the moments we shared as a family and for the opportunity to take a trip like this as AIMers. What a blessing and privilege!

Spain Update

Greetings in the Lovely Name of Jesus!  Happy New Year from Barcelona, Spain!

Surely it was an unprecedented year, but it was a year of walking in greater faith and very blessed.  We wanted to provide you with some updates of what has been happening in this great work.

Through varying restrictions, the church in Barcelona has done everything from having services Monday through Thursday to 10 services on Sundays to keep moving forward. The church is thriving! During the pandemic, the work here has seen 12 new churches planted, and 629 filled with the Spirit, and 954 baptized in Jesus name, which is an increase over 2019.

We have witnessed many filled with the Holy Spirit and Baptized in our short time in Spain. Three of those, being contacts we have had the privilege to work with.

While with Bro Harrod in one of the daughter work churches, many were filled with the Spirit, and the miraculous broke out.  Bro Harrod prayed and saw deaf ears opened.  A woman requested prayer for an issue of pain in her wrist, I asked her how she would praise the Lord if He healed her.  As soon as she started praising, the power of God hit her, she got her miracle, and couldn’t stop praising God!

We are truly thankful to be a part of what God is doing here in Spain. There are some very great things coming in 2021 that we can’t wait to share with you!

Luxembourg Update

Greetings from Luxembourg In the Name of Jesus!

Last year Janet and Ana Perdomo came to Luxembourg from Venezuela. The week they arrived we met them and invited them to have coffee. Janet told us she was raised Catholic and had always been a part of the Roman Catholic Church.

With the national population of Luxembourg being 90% Roman Catholic, it would have been very easy for her to attend mass as she had in the past. But before we finished our meeting over coffee we prayed with her and her daughter, and God opened the door for us to teach them a personal Bible study. The next Sunday they were with us in an apostolic meeting.

The first time they came, they felt the power and presence of God and have been with us ever since, learning the Word of God for themselves. They have been with us for one year now.

On December 14, 2020, we were honored to baptize Janet and her daughter Ana in the name of Jesus Christ! This Gospel message is truly powerful. Every time I have the privilege of baptizing someone in that saving name, I feel like I have been washed all over again!

The Lord is leading us to those He has prepared, those who are ready to act on the truth. During the year of 2020 one of our weekly meetings was dedicated to teaching discipleship classes in preparation for the vision God has given us.

Miracle in Lux

Dina, a young lady here in Luxembourg has lived with an irregular thyroid condition since she was nine years old.

For more than a decade she has had to take medication every day while she struggled with irregular hormone levels, fluctuating weight, low energy and other imbalances. Last week in one of our online meetings we prayed the prayer of faith and declared healing in the lives of those that needed it.

She claimed her healing and the next morning she threw her medication in the trash (no one knew she had done this). She simply acted on her faith. The next week her doctor confirmed that her thyroid condition was gone and she was completely healed!

We are celebrating with her for this amazing miracle of healing that Jesus has done for her!

We are expecting great things in the new year ahead in 2021!

Northern Europe Update

Our pastor in Glasgow, Missionary James Beek, has done a marvellous series of sermons on Isaiah 9.6 during December.  This past Sunday, he ended with the Prince of Peace.  We have never been more thankful that we know the Prince of Peace.  Amongst the storms of 2020, we have felt the serene peace that comes with knowing the Master of the Universe is charting our lives and has ALL THINGS under control. How thankful we are for this priceless peace that passes all understanding.

The church in Copenhagen has found an excellent building to purchase.  Please pray that God will miraculously supply the $350,000.00 needed to add to what the church has already saved.  Opportunities don’t come like this often in Denmark, and we sincerely pray that God will enable the church to purchase this building.  If you would like more information on how you can help with an amount, big or small, please write to our address.

In 1996, God miraculously provided two buildings for the church in Glasgow, Scotland.  Two buildings were purchased for $130,000.00 US dollars.  They are now insured for over $3.4 million dollars.   In 2002, Harvest Bible College became the full time Bible School for the United Pentecostal Church of Great Britain & Ireland and is housed in these buildings.

Over time, the roof on the main building that is pictured below has increasingly needed repairs until we have finally been forced into a position of desperately needing a new roof.  God has amazingly provided much of the approximately $60,000.00 needed for this.  We are down to needing $20,000.00 more.

If you would like to give towards this project, we would be most grateful.  By faith, we have started on the first part of this new roof and believe that God is going to supply every penny needed.  The United Pentecostal Church of Great Britain & Ireland is very generously giving to help with this project.  Money raised from their Christmas for Christ Offering will be going to assist with this need.

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING WITH US THAT GOD WILL SUPPLY!

Thanksgiving found us facing very tough Covid restrictions.  Our family lives in a different county and we weren’t supposed to cross county lines.  Two second year HBC students live near us, but we couldn’t have them indoors. SO, we turned our garden shed into a lovely Thanksgiving “dining room” and put a heater in.  We enjoyed a delicious candlelight turkey dinner with Morgan Price and Aubrey Jones.  We Face-Timed with students and staff in another city and enjoyed our meal “together”.  When there’s a will, there’s a way!
