Good News from Northern Europe

How we praise God for His continued blessings and strength as we stay busy in His Kingdom. Recently, God has given us the privilege to be involved in ministry in various places.

NORWAY – “BREAKING THE CHAINS” CONFERENCE

This is an annual conference hosted by the church in Oslo, Norway and has become a real highlight for the Nordic countries and beyond with 12 countries being represented this year. Bro. Wayne Huntley and Bro. Nathan Harrod were greatly used of the Lord to minister.

ENJOYING FAMILY

We enjoy those rare times when our family can be together.  It was a great blessing to have our son, Kyle, teach at Harvest Bible College.  We missed his family being with him but greatly enjoyed our time with Kyle.  He preached in the church as well as teaching in the college.  How we thank God for our children and their dedication to the Lord and His Kingdom.

During the 2009-10 school year, Kyle and his wife were the overseers for Harvest Bible College while we were on deputation.  That school year, Jason Hefner was a student.  Now he is the Vice-Principal of the college.  We thank God for bringing Jason back to Harvest Bible College and for giving him a fine wife.  It was special for Kyle to be with them as you see in the picture above.

NORTHERN DISTRICT CONFERENCE IN ELGIN

It was a blessing to be part of the Northern District Conference held in the Highlands of Scotland.  The church in Elgin did an outstanding job hosting the conference.  We are thankful for one of our sons in the Gospel, Bro. Derek Fyfe, who is doing a fine job pastoring in Elgin. Bro. Brian Shock did an outstanding job ministering in the conference.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR IN BELGIUM

What an outstanding opportunity and privilege it was to be part of the leadership conference in Brussels, Belgium.  Bro. and Sis. Terry Shock, along with Bro. Tuttle and Bro. Shutes, did a wonderful job teaching.  There was a wonderful representation of leaders from the Europe/Middle East Region and much was learned by all of us.

IT IS SUCH A PRIVILEGE TO BE A PART OF WHAT GOD IS DOING IN THE EUROPE/MIDDLE EAST REGION.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT THAT MAKES OUR MINISTRY POSSIBLE.

WE KNOW THAT TIMES ARE PERILOUS AND OUR MINISTRY WILL HAVE TO FLOW WITH THE CHANGES FACING THE CHURCH TODAY.   TOGETHER WITH YOU, OUR FAITHFUL PARTNERS, WE MOVE FORWARD IN JESUS NAME!

From the Missionaries to Belgium

Dear Partners:

In January, we were able to go to Belgium for a period of 6 weeks.  We are grateful to the Lord to for a good report:  revival fires are burning!  Here is a list of some of the things we were able to participate in while there:

  • Reopening of the Bible School after being closed since 2015.  We opened with 25 new students!  To God be the glory.
  • Attended a 3-day Leadership Development International Seminar for missionaries as well as national pastors and leaders.  Bro. and Sis. Terry Shock did an outstanding job.
  • Visited Gent, the target city for UPC Belgium to open a new work.  This is a beautiful city of 260,000+ people and there is no Apostolic representation in that city.  Please help us pray!
  • Crystal taught a Ladies Seminar, and together, we taught a Marriage Seminar.

Because our visa situation is still not resolved, we have just arrived back in the US to continue the process.  Although its great to be with family and friends, our hearts are in Belgium because we see how great the need is.  Please help us pray concerning this  situation.

Merci beaucoup for your continued prayerful and financial support.  We appreciate your burden for lost souls around the world.
Here is a pictorial view of some of the things that happened while we were there.

Luxembourg Missions Report

Greetings from Luxembourg In the Name of Jesus!

It is so powerful to see evidence that God is everywhere, at all times, and is in control of everything. Recently, my wife and I were praying against spiritual opposition in Luxembourg and our whole family became ill. We all had fever, were nauseous, and were dizzy. We continued to pray under these conditions in spite of the fact that we were getting physically weak. On the fourth day something broke. Our fevers were gone, the nausea and dizziness left and we felt breakthrough. What we didn’t know was there was an apostolic church in Bogota, Colombia being persecuted and attacked by guerrilla troops that caused the church to disband. One particular family, on the ministry team there, told us their story how the Lord protected them enabling them to flee the country. Then, God led them to Luxembourg!

Jhon, Francie, and their son, Samuel (pictured above) made it safely to Luxembourg. We connected with them and offered them help. Jhon was the assistant pastor of the church they had fled and are both very gifted musicians as well. We started a Spanish Bible study. About the same time Dina Montoya (also pictured above in glasses) also came to Luxembourg from Colombia. We later learned Francie and Dina had grown up together and gone to school together but had not seen each other in years. They were reunited in Luxembourg and now worship together every week.

In a country where the official languages are Luxembourgish, French and German, we now have a Spanish home group as well. The Lord is putting all the pieces together to reach this nationally diverse country.

In His Service,

Jeremy & Khrista Favors
