Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests
From Sharon Ritchie (Windward Islands/French Guiana):
Please pray for the French Windward Islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe.

Guadeloupe has been striking for over a month, and Martinique joined in about two weeks ago. Stores, schools, gas stations, banks, and post offices are closed; buses are not running ... People are hungry; it is not safe to have church in the evenings. The strikers have been throwing stones at the riot police; the police are using tear gas... The situation is explosive, to say the least. It is escalating into a racial riot. We ask prayer for the safety of our church members, and that peace and order will return to these islands.

From Barbara Abernathy (FMD):
Please continue praying for Bryan Abernathy.

Thanks for your prayers! While the doctor did tell Bro. Abernathy that his cellulitis is now in remission, he was just diagnosed today with shingles. We realize this is just another wave in our physical storm and are glad to know who walks on the water! We appreciate all the kind words and thoughts-it has made the rowing easier!
