Hope Now Missions Report

July 2019

Greetings to our friends and partners!

We're Sorry

We recently discovered that many of our emails have not been delivered to you as intended. We have attempted to fix this in our email system and hope that you are seeing this message now. :D Please accept our sincere apologies. We want to make sure to keep you informed of our actions on the field. If you would like to see any updates you may have missed, please take a few moments to scan through our updates on our website.  Available for Services

A quick announcement: We will be in the USA from September 9 to October 10. We are planning to attend the UPCI General Conference. During our time in the States, we would love to be in service with you at your church! If you are interested, please connect with us, or your pastor, so that we can make arrangements. It would be a privilege to see you! Due to time constraints, we have limited availability, but we would love to connect with you if possible!

Planning Ahead

We’ve begun making plans and arranging schedules for the remainder of this year and next. Missionaries Paul & Darla Brochu will be going on deputation in April of next year, and we have been requested to fill in while they are traveling. Because of this, we are working to make this time of transition as smooth as possible for the church. We will be returning to the US from September 9 to October 10 to raise funds. We must have enough Partners In Mission (PIM) to guarantee our presence on the field while the Brochus are away. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with them and are honored to be furlough replacements while they are away. Paris Centre church is a great body of believers and we love them dearly.

Prayer for Muslims

A few weeks ago, we were pleased to host an international prayer team here in Paris. They were praying strategically through Western Europe in areas under the influence of Islam. Our prayer is that the truth of Jesus would be revealed to Muslims throughout Europe and the Middle East. The facility which we currently rent doubles as a mosque for Muslims in our neighborhood. We prayed over their prayer mats with faith, believing that they will encounter Jesus! The following day we visited the Grand Mosque of Paris and enjoyed a lovely tour. After the tour, we were released to wander the grounds. We were able to spend 30+ mins in prayer there, praying that they would have a divine encounter with Jesus. We desire to see God do a work in the Muslim community in Europe. Help us pray for them. We are thankful for the prayer team and their leadership for coordinating this effort.

Training Program

We have been working diligently to ensure the work here is as effective as possible. Due to our lack of facilities, it is a considerable challenge to train volunteers and have systems operational. We have no time or place to train or organize our team, so we have to think outside of the box. We are currently developing online training systems that will allow our teams to be operating on the same page. With the tools that we are developing, we will have team training, discipleship training, and Bible studies available online to help equip and support the ministry here. The tools and techniques that we are working on are being developed in such a way that they can be arranged to launch daughter works around the city and beyond. We are very energized by what is taking place on this front.

Digital Discipleship Initiative

At the end of October, we have someone coming to help us video an 8-week discipleship series. It will allow new members of our church to become acquainted with our biblical values and beliefs outside of church service time. We are working to set up a studio in a section of our apartment to facilitate this project. We will require some lighting other equipment for this to come together. If you are interested in helping with this, it would be much appreciated. Just reach out to us and say, “I’d love to help with digital discipleship initiatives.”

Your love and support humble us. Your contributions do not go unnoticed. We pray that each of you is richly blessed as you sow into the work in France and around the world.

If you do not currently support our ministry and would like to, I invite you to visit www.HopeNowMissions.com/give. Any amount is significant in helping spread the hope of the Gospel. Thank you in advance for your generous gift!

Praying God's Blessings upon you all,

Baron & Jen Carson

Will you help share the Gospel?

When you partner with us, you will share in the eternal reward of reaching lost souls with the Gospel message. Would you consider making a one-time donation or partnering with us monthly?

You might be asking how your contribution can help. First, we must learn French and need to raise funds for a language school (approximately $3,500pp). Secondly, you can help with our recurring monthly expenses. These include transportation ($90), internet ($40), phones ($25), insurance ($100) and housing ($1,075). Even a small donation can make a big difference!

We have seen many lives transformed as people are healed, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit, and you can be a part of that by praying, giving or going! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

PRAYER REQUESTS

We have a few things that we would love for you to help us pray about:
  • Pray for Paris Centre Church. We need a permanent meeting location in Paris in which to have services, offices, and training space.
  • Pray that God will lead us to divine connections with people.
  • Pray for spiritual and physical protection of our leaders and ourselves.
  • Pray for laborers to help in the harvest.
