Hello from Korea

Schedule Update
Well, I have done it. I have signed to remain in South Korea for another year. That feels especially odd as I know that will have me here in 2014. As it stands, I do not know when I will be back in the States, even for a visit. The summer holiday is longer this year due to a renovation project, but I may stay in this corner of the world during summer vacation. It all depends on what happens with regards to 2014.

Youth Camp
The annual youth camp was held the second week of January. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend as I had English camp at my school that week. Upon arrival at the campground, the campers quickly discovered that the toilet facilities were out of order. As the campers stay in nearby hotels, they braved it out and remained through Wednesday to enjoy a good time of worship and fellowship.

Church Camp
If I stay over here during the summer holiday, I hope to attend the church camp again this year. If you recall, I was able to attend the first camp with Bro. Hargrove of Texas. Last year, of course, I was in the States. It is such a joy to worship with people from all over South Korea. Even though the length of Korea can be traveled quickly and comfortably, we do not often get to see saints from the other churches. I still hope to one day have youth rallies here, especially starting with the churches in the Seoul area.

English Camp & a School Update
I thoroughly enjoyed my English camp with G1 and G2 students this winter session. It really is a joy to teach the same group of students consecutively--to see the day-by-day progress. While I would not want to miss out on teaching all my students at Wolpyeong, the once a week schedule does make it difficult to have that same sense of progress. I look forward to trying new lesson ideas next year to better facilitate their learning.

This school year is about to close. We have classes again from February 1-8, culminating in the graduation of the G3 students. After the spring vacation, these brave students will begin their careers as high school students, and I shall miss them. Still, I am happy for them and look forward to a new batch of G1 students.

Prayer Requests
As I consider this new year, I know that I can count on you to be with me every step of the way, and I am so grateful for this. What a joy it is to be part of the body of Christ!

Please pray specifically...
-for Sis. Kim on her upcoming deputation
-for the AIMer, Tiffany
-for the Bible School (for students)
-for the pastors and elders in the churches
-for the saints of the church in Korea
-for continued revelation
-for the gifts of the Spirit to be in operation
-for favor throughout South Korea

Thank you so much for everything that you do, for every prayer and for every hello. I look forward with expectation to all that God shall do in these last days. The best is yet to come!

Gratefully,
Heather
